Frequently Asked Questions
When should I apply? We recommend you apply as early as possible. We take five men and five women each year and spots fill up fast! Click here to apply.
Where will I work? During our interview process, you’ll share your career interests and goals. We use that information to find a great placement for you with one of our many employers. We offer a personalized approach to finding an employer placement in your field of interest. The earlier you apply, the more opportunities we will have.

Where will I live? Our Fellows live in a duplex in Sewickley, PA with each Fellow having their own room. The house is located in the main part of town, so it’s walkable to gyms, coffee shops, restaurants, stores, bike/hiking trails and more! Living in a close-knit cohort fosters a supportive environment where Fellows can learn and grow together.

How much does the program cost? The total cost is $6,000, which includes a $500 nonrefundable deposit at the time of acceptance. We never want the cost of our program to be the reason you don’t participate, so we offer various payment plans for you to consider. We encourage our Fellows to fundraise, and many alumni have had some or all of their program fees covered through fundraising. As a Fellow you’ll be receiving a competitive salary while working for your employer.

How does Pittsburgh Fellows help me launch my career? Our program offers comprehensive professional, spiritual, and personal development opportunities designed to build a solid foundation for your career and life after college. Whether you're looking to master networking, cultivate mentoring relationships, explore the intersection of faith and work, or build relationships with and learn from mid level managers and C-suite executives, our program covers it all. We aim to seamlessly transition you from college to the professional world by offering a blend of big-picture concepts and practical skills.

As a Pittsburgh Fellow, you are placed in a competitively paid position in your field of study with one of our partner employers (we have over 50 who continue to hire Fellows and alumni). You’ll have the opportunity to grow through diverse learning experiences, mentorship, service activities, retreats, and community engagement. Most of our Fellows choose to continue working with their Fellows employer upon graduation from the program.
Living with a cohort of ten peers, your Fellows community becomes your sounding board, support network, and friends as you take this first step in your career. Beyond your cohort, you're embraced by the broader Pittsburgh Fellows community, including mentors, church members, alumni, business leaders, and community stakeholders—all invested in your success during your Fellows year and beyond.
What makes Pittsburgh Fellows unique? We’re highly focused on building a life that matters. We’re eager to build business leaders who work for the glory of God and who want to serve their church and community throughout their life. You’ll work four days a week while diving into what it means to be a Christian in the workplace and in your community. We have a passion for Pittsburgh, a unique city that has so much to offer for young professionals.
