When should I apply? We recommend you apply as early as possible. We take five men and five women each year and spots fill up fast! Early applications are considered on a rolling basis up through our first deadline: November 15, 2026. If spots in the cohort remain open, we offer a winter deadline of January 15, 2027. How does Pittsburgh Fellows help me launch my career? Our program offers comprehensive professional, spiritual, and personal development opportunities designed to build a solid foundation for your career and life after college. We offer access to an extensive network of leaders, mentor relationships, and opportunities to explore the intersection of faith and work. We aim to seamlessly transition you from college to the professional world by offering a blend of big-picture concepts and practical skills. ​Beyond your cohort, you're embraced by the broader Pittsburgh Fellows community, including mentors, church members, alumni, business leaders, and community stakeholders—all invested in your success during your Fellows year and beyond.

 

Where will I work? As a Pittsburgh Fellow, you are placed in a competitively paid position in your field of study with one of our partner employers. We offer a personalized approach to finding an employer placement in your field of interest. During our interview process, you’ll share your career interests and goals. We use that information to guide the placement process for you with one of our many employers. We have partnered with over 90 different employers in the Pittsburgh area over the past 21 years. Most of our Fellows are offered a full-time role with their Fellows employer upon graduation from the program.​ The earlier you apply, the more opportunities we will have available.

Where will I live? Our Fellows live in a duplex in Sewickley, PA with each Fellow having their own room. The house is located in the main part of town, so it’s walkable to gyms, coffee shops, restaurants, stores, bike/hiking trails and more!  Living in a close-knit cohort fosters a supportive environment where Fellows can learn and grow together.

What does a typical week as a Pittsburgh Fellow look like? You’ll have the opportunity to grow through diverse learning experiences, mentorship, service activities, retreats, and community engagement. A typical week follows this structure:

• Monday - Thursday - Work Placement

• Tuesday Evenings - Program Rotation

1st - Dinner + Professional Roundtable 

2nd - Service Opportunity

3rd - Dinner & Bible Study

4th - Dinner + Faith & Work Integration Discussion 

• Friday - Classes and Field Trips

• Sunday - Worship and SSC Service

​How much does the program cost? Our program fees total $7,000, which includes a $500 nonrefundable deposit at the time of acceptance. In addition, Fellows help share the cost of utilities for the duplex. 

​

How do Fellows pay for these costs?  We coach all Fellows on fundraising strategies and offer various payment plans. Many alumni have raised some or all of their program fees by inviting friends, family, and their local church to partner with them as donors. Select summer camps offer scholarships for their counselors, so please feel free to ask us about those offerings. If you choose not to fundraise, you can choose to pay out of the competitive salary you receive while working for your employer. We never want the cost of our program to be the reason you don’t participate, so please reach out to our team with questions or concerns.

What does the $7,000 program fee cover? ​

• ​Rent in Sewickley for 9 months 

• Five off-site retreats, and conferences

• Regular training and soft skill development as you launch a career in the business world

• Spiritual formation classes and books

• Food at Fellows events

Can I visit the program before committing? Yes! We encourage candidates to visit. A visit usually includes touring the house and neighborhood, attending a church service, connecting with current Fellows, and interviewing in-person with our alumni team. What qualities are we likely to look for in a candidate for our program? The ideal Pittsburgh Fellow is a recent college graduate who is genuinely committed to Jesus Christ and eager to grow in faith, career, and leadership. Our team looks for candidates who are curious, teachable, self-aware, and willing to take responsibility. We desire Fellows who demonstrate leadership and seek to serve and work in the marketplace with humility, integrity, and excellence. Living in a shared housing requires Fellows to be committed to positively contributing to the community. An ideal Fellow is open to making Pittsburgh home, with a desire to contribute to the flourishing of the city. ​
