Learning to Always Pursue Christ

One part of the Pittsburgh Fellows Program is our Friday classes that we take each week. Every Friday morning, I get to participate in a discussion about our faith with the other Fellows and the pastor of our church. Walking into those conversations feels like stepping back into one of the parts of college I miss most. It reminds me of my experience at Grove City College, where faith and learning were never meant to be separated, but were woven together in a way that challenged both my mind and my heart.
In college, I was constantly encouraged to think deeply about what I believe and why I believe it. Theology classes weren’t just about gaining information—they were about transformation. They pushed me to wrestle with Scripture, ask hard questions, and see more clearly who God is and how He is at work in the world. These Friday classes bring that same kind of invitation.
What I appreciate most is that these classes remind me that spiritual growth doesn’t stop after graduation. It can be easy in the busyness of work, responsibility, and everyday life to become spiritually passive or assume that growth will just happen on its own. But being in these classes has reminded me that faith should always be active, curious, and growing. I’m grateful for spaces that call me to keep learning, keep asking, and keep pursuing the Lord with both heart and mind. These Fridays have become more than just a class—they’ve become a weekly reminder that growing in faith is a lifelong journey, and one worth pursuing intentionally.
